STW agency Bohemia has lured Vodafone's media strategy and planning business away from Ikon Communications.

Ikon, also STW-owned, will retain the media buying account for the telco brand.

In addition to strategy and planning, Bohemia will also work across data and analytics, owned media, sponsorship and social media.

Vodafone general manager brand, communications and PR Jana Kotatko said: “Bohemia's highly strategic approach to media planning is well suited to our need to improve the effectiveness of our marketing communications. We look forward to working with Brett and his team to take full advantage of the opportunities presented by the new media landscape.”

Bohemia managing partner Brett Dawson said: “We are incredibly excited by the opportunity to provide strategic consultancy services to Vodafone in Australia and we look forward to a long term successful relationship with them and their partner agencies.”

Six months ago, Vodafone shifted its creative account from Host to Ogilvy. Moon is also on the brand's roster.

Bohemia opened its doors in October last year with former Ikon staffers Dawson and Chris Christofi and Commonwealth Bank's Peter Leaver at the helm. Digital director James Collier was previously Ikon's social media director.
