Ogilvy's BMW creative exits

By AdNews | 3 September 2013

Ogilvy Melbourne creative group head Fergus Donaldson has left the agency. He worked across the BMW, Mini and BP accounts.

A STW spokesperson confirmed the exit but declined to comment on a replacement for Donaldson across those accounts.

Donaldson joined the agency in late 2008. He had previously worked for JWT across clients including Kraft, Shell and Ford.

Ogilvy Group's creative department has undergone a reinvention of sorts with the appointment of Steve Back as its national chief creative officer, based in Melbourne. Back returned to Australia after two years at Ogilvy Singapore. Prior to that, he had worked locally at Saatchi & Saatchi, Leo Burnett, DDB and Marketforce.

Ogilvy Melbourne also welcomed former Y&R executive Peter Horovitz as its managing director earlier this year.

The agency group is currently defending the Myer creative account which was put out to tender last month a year into Ogilvy's three-year contract.
