AdNews Agency Rankings: Guess who?

OMD has topped the first AdNews Agency Rankings of 2013 for media, echoing the first place scored by the network in the AdNews/Roy Morgan survey of media sales professionals. But the big surprise is that the second placed agency was not a media agency.

The winning agency in all the other categories will suprise nobody.

McCann topped the charts in advertising, digital and direct off the back of a phenomenal haul across most of the awards shows that made up the scoring for this round (round one includes Asian Marketing Effectiveness, Cannes, Clio, D&AD, Festival of Media, NY Festivals, Siren, The One Show, The One Show Interactive and the Webbys).

Second place in media went to DDB Sydney off the back of strong work for McDonalds. UM is in third at this stage.

In advertising, Leo Burnett and Clemenger BBDO are in second and third in the network category, with Leo Burnett Sydney and George Patterson second and third by office.

Leo Burnett is also ranked second in direct both by office and network, with Havas in third.

In digital George Patterson Y&R and M&C Saatchi are making the early running.
