Toy manufacturer Mattel has appointed former Cadbury marketer Melissa O'Sullivan as marketing manager for Fisher-Price.

O'Sullivan, who reports to Mattel marketing director Meagan Reay, replaces Kent Cuthbert who has left the company to start his own venture. At Cadbury's, O'Sullivan was former global innovation manager for chocolate.

In her new role, O'Sullivan will be responsible for the development of the strategic marketing direction for the Infant and Pre-school portfolio within Australia and New Zealand across Fisher-Price and Thomas & Friends.

She will perform the lead role across key sales, retail and planning strategy for the business.
