The Influence Group has announced a partnership between its influencer marketing business Social Soup and Sustainability Victoria, starting in May.

The partnership with Social Soup will span two campaigns focusing on Small Acts, Big Impact.

The influencer marketing agency will be engaged across content strategy, paid amplification, creator recruitment and activation alongside CRM software to educate and motivate Victorians on simple sustainable practices.

Social Soup managing director, Katie Palmer-Rose, said the company was thrilled to be partnering with Sustainability Victoria to drive a more sustainable and green future in Australia.

“We can leverage our creators at scale to help tackle a number of issues, with the first targeting food waste and the second aimed at ‘losing the plastic bag’, given there are currently over 16% of Victorians still leaving plastic bags and plastic in the recycling bin," said Palmer-Rose.

"The plan is to get these issues at the forefront of every Victorian’s mind.”

Part of the Victorian State Government, Sustainability Victoria was established under the Sustainability Victoria Act 2005 and is a statutory authority with a board appointed by the Minister for Energy, Environment and Climate Change.

Its purpose is to support the community to transition to a more circular, climate-resistant economy.

Director of The Influence Group and CEO and founder of Social Soup, Sharyn Smith, said their affiliation with Pollinate Sustainability – a division of Pollinate and part of The Influence Group family alongside Social Soup – puts them in a position to understand the role businesses play in a climate-resistant future.

“This experience and knowledge put us in a great position to deliver the most effective messaging to Victorians, and hopefully the rest of Australia,” said Smith.
