Triton Digital’s Podcast Ranker for February 2024 has been released, with Casefile True Crime taking the spot in both the Top 100 Ranker and Top 100 All-Australian Ranker.

After falling to second in January, the true crime podcast regained its top spot in February with 878,248 monthly listeners and over 2.2 million monthly downloads.

Pop culture podcast Shameless fell to second 639,860 monthly listeners, while Mamamia Out Loud rose to third with 579,409 monthly listeners. The Kyle & Jackie O Show continued its climb in February, finishing at fourth with 515,273 monthly listeners and the ABC's Conversations fell to fifth with 499,237 monthly listeners and a February-high of 3,649,570 monthly downloads.

Hamish & Andy dropped to sixth with 397,122 monthly listeners, while ABC News Daily rose an incredible 46 spots from January's ranker to round out the top 10 with 318,532 monthly listeners.

ARN/iHeartMedia, LiSTNR (SCA) and the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) remained at first, second and third in the Top Publishers rankings. ARN/iHeartMedia led the way in monthly listeners with 4,551,228 to go along with close to 15.5 million monthly downloads, while the ABC totalled 23,582,696 monthly downloads, the highest for February.

ARN’s head of digital audio, Corey Layton, said with 3 out of 4 Australians that listen to podcasts each month selecting an iHeart show, the engagement of the company's incredible slate can’t be beaten.

"Combined iHeart delivers more podcast hits that drive over 1 million downloads per month… more than any other publisher," he said.

SCA executive head LiSTNR podcasts, Grant Tothill, said LiSTNR has increased its overall audience in February to strengthen its uncontested number one Sales Representation Network position.

"On a year-on-year basis from February 2023 to February 2024, LiSTNR’s published ‘owned and operated’ audience has increased by more than 550,000 monthly listeners in today’s Australian Podcast Ranker results," he said.

"In addition, Hamish & Andy are back with a brand-new season that launched on 29 February, and as the radio ratings season and AFL and NRL footy seasons kick off, our radio and sports podcasts will continue to grow listeners,”
