Out-of-home net media revenue increased 12.2% to $1.19 billion in 2023, according to the industry.

In the December quarter, revenue was up 10.9% year-on-year to $366.6 million.

Digital OOH (DOOH) revenue accounts for 73.9% of total net media revenue year-to-date, up from 64.5% for the same period last year.

OMA CEO Elizabeth McIntyre says in 2023, the industry body has seen its members invest into the future of the OOH channel, with the launch of OASIS, the boom of programmatic buying and the development of measurement with MOVE2.

"This is a testament to our industry’s commitment to offering transparency and accountability for every dollar spent on OOH," she says.

The Deloitte 2023 Advertising Pays Report found that in 2022, $17.7 billion was spent on advertising in Australia.
