News Corp Australia has made three new appointments to its on-demand audio division, NewsCast.

Hareem Khan and Nina Young join NewsCast as audio producers, while Tiffany Dimmack joins as audio editor.

Khan previously worked at SBS where she was a producer on Dateline. In her new role, she will be responsible for producing the company’s growing suite of news and current affairs content for brands such as news.com.au and The Australian.

Young was previously parenting editor at Kidspot.com.au where she self-produced and hosted the podcast My Father the Murderer.

Dimmack previously worked in sound design and imaging for Nova Entertainment and created podcasts for Audible and Spotify. In her new role, she will oversee the production and sound design of the company’s marquee podcasts along with overall sound and imaging across the network.

The new hires are part of the company’s strategy for growth over the next 12 months with plans to launch a suite of new original content into 2022.

“Growing on our foundation in news, sport and lifestyle content, bringing three content creators of such a high calibre into the team will be instrumental in driving the expansion of our audio network over the next 12 months,” says News Corp Australia’s head of audio Del Fordham.

“We continue to invest in high quality and compelling audio and have some ambitious targets for original content creation and listenership as well as commercial and subscriber revenue goals in 2022.”
