News Bulletin: Xtra Research to provide regional radio ratings; QMS "switches on" digital billboards

Xtra Research appointed provider of regional radio

Commercial Radio Australia (CRA) has appointed Xtra Research as the official provider of regional radio surveys as of January 2016.

Under the appointment, Xtra will undertake radio measurement for markets outside of the five capital cities of Sydney, Melbourne Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth and major centres already covered by GfK including Gold Coast, Canberra and Newcastle.

QMS “switches on” digital billboards

Disney, Google and Unilever are among the inaugural advertisers for QMS' three latest digital billboards.

The billboards are situated in Brisbane, which the out of home company says gives it “strategic coverage” of the market, and takes its total digital portfolio to 29 sites nationally.

CEO Barclay Nettlefold said: “2015 has been a significant year for QMS. We are proud to have been able to deliver our clients, a landmark digital billboard portfolio that has seen us go from four to 29 digital billboards in the space of 12 months.”

Razorfish appoints new ECD

Razorfish has appointed Sándor Moldán to the role of Australia executive creative director.

Moldán has worked for Razorfish since 2006, as a creative director.

Razorfish Australia MD Doug Chapman said: “Sándor has always displayed the highest creative standards and has been involved in winning many new business pitches for the agency. He will lead the creative team for the Australian operation and will continue to work with the global team to drive innovation and digital transformation.”
