News Bulletin: GPJ hires ECD; HuffPost lures REA exec; Nine and Bloomberg?

Nine and Bloomberg in discussions?

The AFR has reported that Nine Entertainment Co is locked in "advanced talks" with global financial information giant Bloomberg. It says the nature of any joint venture between the two parties is unclear and Nine declined to comment. Bloomberg's own 24-hour business and finance news channel is carried by Foxtel and some of its content is screened on Sky News Business. 

GPJ hires ECD

Experiential agency GPJ has appointed Luke Clifton as its executive creative director. Clifton joins the agency from his role as creative director at Jack Morton Worldwide. Prior to Jack Morton, Clifton was a creative director at Salmat Digital for two years. GPJ MD Caleb Bush says the hire lays the foundation for the next step in the agency's evolution.

HuffPost lures REA exec

HuffPost Australia has appointed digital media sales leader Sammy Lewis as Commercial Director. The newly-created role is responsible for building and leading HuffPost Australia’s national team of agency sales managers that are guiding advertisers, media agencies, and creative agencies on advertising and branded content solutions. Lewis joins HuffPost from REA Group where she worked for five years in a variety of commercial roles, most recently as group sales manager of media for NSW and Queensland.
