Westpac's Sarah Sproule appointed CMO of Athena

Home lending challenger brand Athena has appointed Sarah Sproule as its chief marketing officer starting in April. She joins from Westpac Group where she was head of brand and marketing for the Bank of Melbourne.

VMLY&R's Paul Nagy promoted to CCO of APAC

VMLY&R, brand and customer experience agency, has promoted Paul Nagy, chief creative officer ANZ, to chief creative officer APAC. Nagy’s new role will have him overseeing 21 offices across ten countries throughout Asia and ANZ. 

Kim Le Gras is managing partner at AnalogFolk

AnalogFolk Australia, a leading independent creative agency, has appointed Kim Le Gras managing partner. Le Gras, former client director at Hogarth, has worked with top-tier clients such as Telstra, Suncorp, Vodafone, Woolmark, Optus, and Kellogg's.

News Corp's Amanda Spackman goes to New York

News Corp Australia executive Amanda Spackman has been appointed vice-president of global strategy for News Corp in New York. Zac Skulander will take over her role as general manager of product & partnerships for The Australian & Prestige.

Magnite's James Young switches to PubMatic

PubMatic has appointed James Young regional director for Australia and New Zealand (ANZ), starting September. He will lead the ANZ team, managing strategy, sales and operations for PubMatic in the region, as the company continues to focus on delivering media solutions to publishers and advertisers.   

Deb Tod promoted to new role for BBC Studios

Deb Tod has been promoted to the new role of director of content partnerships and sales for BBC Studios ANZ. The role will add affiliate deals to her existing responsibilities for the strategic and team leadership of BBC Studios content sales and co-productions in the region.

Shane Russell returns to Australia as CEO Red Havas

Red Havas Australia has appointed Shane Russell as its new CEO. The Queenslander returns to Australia after more than a decade at New York based 5W Public Relations. 

Media sales representative Spot & Space hires two

Media sales representative Spots & Space has appointed Sara Ocepek to the role of relationships manager and Bailey Gambie marketing co-ordinator.

72andSunny strengthens design and strategy team with new senior hires

72andSunny has made two senior strategy and design hires. Shelley Mitchell joins as design director, who comes from New York and has worked with brands including Paul Smith, Gap, John Varvatos, Bobbi Brown, Revlon, Microsoft, MTV, Björk, Childish Gambino, MASS MoCA and rag & bone.

CHEP nabs GHO's Hamish Stewart as national ECD - experience

CHEP Network appoints Hamish Stewart, in the newly created role, national executive creative director - experience. Stewart will join CHEP’s national creative leadership team, with a focus on designing experiences that create positive outcomes for brands and their consumers.
