MEC head of content Tim Flattery has co-developed a TVseries which is set to launch on US screens.

Godfather of Pittsburgh is described as a “gritty eight part reality TV program about a colourful Pennsylvania businessman who runs a restaurant and nightclub empire”.

Flattery, who joined MEC in August last year said: “Developing and selling a TV program in a competitive market like the US was a great experience and the lessons I learnt from it are ones that I bring to my current role as head of content at MEC. From an advertising perspective, branded content is the future as many smart marketers have already discovered.”

Flattery is executive producer of the program, which he co-developed while living in Los Angeles as head of TV development a Grainey Pictures. The company sold Godfather of Pittsburgh to cable channel A&E with the show also scoring a billboard on Sunset Boulevard.

Flattery has also been involved in creating Marketing Dividends in association with the AANA, a series airing on Sky News Business featuring some of the country’s leading marketers offering insights.
