M&C Saatchi Sydney has restructured its creative department, appointing creative team Andy Flemming and Shane Gibson as creative directors while the agency creates a new senior team.

Flemming and Gibson, who will report directly to executive creative director Ben Welsh, were group creative heads prior to the promotion.

They have worked together since 2009, with Flemming as copywriter and Gibson as art director. The duo also worked together at Mojo's Sydney office during the 1990s before moving to senior positions in London, Hong Kong and Singapore.

"Andy and Shane bring an enormous amount of experience and infections enthusiasm," Welsh said. "They've not only been instrumental in some significant new business wins, they've put out huge work for some of our biggest clients."

The agency's newly-created senior creative team also includes Gavin McLeod, executive creative director of M&C's digital, direct and data agency, Mark.
