Malcolm Turnbull beats MasterChef

Last Night’s 7.30 interview with former prime minister Malcolm Turnbull generated an audience of 940,000 metro viewers.

Turnbull sat down with host Leigh Sales to talk about his time as leader ahead of the release of his memoir, A Bigger Picture.

The interview on the ABC outperformed Ten’s MasterChef, which fell to 916,000 metro viewers. The reality cooking show had been regularly reaching more than one million viewers, with the previous episode on Sunday night attracting 1.01 million metro viewers.

Meanwhile, Nine’s Lego Masters, in its second episode for the season, reached a metro audience of 1.049 million, making it the top entertainment show for the night.

Seven’s House Rules: High Stakes fell to 559,000 metro viewers, while Seven News topped the night with 1.267 million metro viewers.
