MADE THIS has appointed Marie-Celine Merret “MC” to head up the creative technology capability which includes all things experiential, immersive storytelling, gaming, AR & VR, XR, AI and content automation.

Clemenger Group launched specialist production company MADE THIS with the focus on craft and innovation with the belief that with the explosion of connected technology the business of content creation requires smarter production of omnichannel content at scale.

The mission of the company is to push the boundaries of creativity, craft, and technology to produce bold experiences for the Clemenger Group clients.

Merret comes with an incredible track record in this space. She established Media.Monks in Australia and New Zealand together with MADE THIS managing director Vinne Schifferstein.

Before that, she was with Media.Monks in New York where she developed the immersive and emerging technology practice and led the production of work including a three-story tall interactive immersive kinetic sculpture installation in Grand Central Terminal in NYC.

She also led work during her time at Fake Love, a New York Times Experiential Design Agency such as taking over Hollywood Boulevard for a real-time sun-powered art sculpture and the very first immersive music concert for young deaf adults for 7Up.

Vinne Schifferstein, managing director at MADE THIS, says she is extremely happy that Merret is joining the team at MADE THIS.

"She’s one of the most forward-thinking can-do people in the industry that truly combines artistry with innovation. She’s critical in our journey to help clients change the way their creative work is being made," says Schifferstein.

“The production landscape is evolving faster than ever. Brands are demanding a relevant capability that can make work in new and exciting ways. And MC’s appointment gives us exactly that,” said Iain Todd General Manager - Operations MADE THIS.

Merret says she's excited to join MADE THIS to deliver on its mission and shape the next chapter in bringing more innovation driven solutions to its clients in both the work itself but also the production tactics.

"My background and passion are focused around creating work that evokes feelings and immerses people in unusual and astounding experiences all by blending sharp creativity and emerging technology, so this partnership is a perfect alignment!” says Merret.
