New Zealand-based Lumo Digital Outdoor has appointed former Colenso BBDO managing director Scott Coldham as an independent director to its board.

He left Colenso in January and became CMO at technology company Whip Around and local menswear brand Asuwere.

“I am excited about joining this ambitious business at a time when I hope to add a little bit of value from the boardroom," says Coldham.

"I have been very impressed with what Phil (Clemas), Kent (Harrison) and the team have achieved in such a short space of time and I am looking forward to staying connected and giving back in a small way to an industry that has given me so much.”

LUMO Chairman Shannon Walsh says Coldham's addition is a great chance for the businesses to get more insight into successfully fostering and growing agency relationships.

“Bringing in an independent director to our Board is about broadening our horizons and challenging our perspectives on what agencies and advertisers are seeking from businesses like LUMO," says Walsh.

Coldham becomes the sixth board member for rapidly growing independent digital out-of-home leader Lumo.

Phil Clemas, CEO of LUMO, says Coldham is a perfect addition for an independent board member.

“Scott has done incredible things across the years, notably in an creative agency environment," says Clemas.

"His knowledge and guidance will be pivotal to our success and growth moving forward, and we’re very much looking forward to having him involved with LUMO as we look towards the next evolution of digital out of home.”
