JWT Australasian chief executive John Gutteridge has appointed DDB managing partner Michael Godwin as Melbourne managing director.

Godwin is a ten year veteran of DDB having started at DDB Melbourne and then moved to DDB Auckland to head up the McDonald’s account.

At DDB Sydney, which he joined in 2006, Godwin was managing director until he joined DDB Melbourne in 2009 to work on the $90 million Coles account.

The appointment follows Gutteridge's promotion to JWT Australasia chief executive after Noel Magnus stepped down in July.

Under Godwin’s stewardship, DDB NZ won five effectiveness awards for its McDonald’s work. Godwin returned to Australia at DDB Sydney, where he has developed McDonald's 'Moments campaign', currently running across ANZ.
