CHE executive creative director Jason Ross has quit the agency after five and a half years to start a new venture.

Mike O’Hare, CHE creative director on Mazda, has been appointed executive creative director following Ross' departure.

AdNews understands Ross will launch a new creative venture in early 2011.

Ross said: “It has been a fantastic few years and I’m really proud of the work we’ve delivered. The team is great and I will miss them all. But the time has come for me to explore a new direction."

Prior to CHE, Ross held creative director roles at Publicis Mojo and DDB as well as roles with M&C Saatchi Singapore, and M&C Saatchi New Zealand, where he was a creative partner and one of the original partners involved in the agency float.

CHE chief executive Mark Coad said O'Hare has been with CHE for one year, having joined from JWT Bangkok where he worked on the Mazda account. He has previously held ECD roles around the world at agencies such as Lowe in Hong Kong, China and Tokyo as well as Leo Burnett in Moscow.

Coad said, "[O'Hare's] experience working on clients such as P&G, HSBC, Audi and of course Mazda ensures our creative department will deliver outstanding work for our existing and new clients.”

Ross' departure follows CHE's strong performance at the MADC's, where the agency picked up five awards.
