This week we speak to Milk Bottle Projects director Nikki Williams.

Time at the company:
Eight years.

How would you describe what the company does?
We provide PR and digital marketing solutions for the hospitality and lifestyle verticals.

What do you do day-to-day?
I run the operations for Milk Bottle Projects and oversee all activities whether it be PR activations, organic or paid strategies and implementation or logo and branding assignments. We also do events and influencer outreach.

Define your job in one word:
Multi-faceted.

I got into PR and marketing because:
It’s a combination of all the things I love – visual content, copyrighting, connecting people and creative strategy.

What’s the biggest challenge you face in your role?
Implementing new strategies as new social media technologies are launched.

What’s the biggest industry-wide challenge you’d like to see tackled?
Consumers in Australia understanding the need to pay higher amounts for world class hospitality, food and beverage in order to sustain our incredible industry.

Notable campaigns you have worked on:
Launching Drumplings, RACV’s hospitality launches and the Rubix Cube anniversary Australian-wide.

Words of advice for someone wanting a job like yours?
Follow your passion to start your own project or business – it’s the most empowering effort you’ll make in life. When you do, remember that you’ll never stop learning.

If I wasn't doing this for a living, I'd be: 
A wedding photographer.

My mantra is:
Promote or perish.

My favourite advert is:
Honestly, who can go past the Old Spice ad?

Music and TV streaming habits. What do you subscribe to?
Spotify, swap between Stan and Netflix, Plex, AloMoves for yoga.

Tell us one thing people at work don’t know about you?
I spent a day photographing Susan Sarandon and another photographing Goldie Hawn. Amazing experiences and truly inspiring women to work with.
