Ex-Ten exec Kylie Rogers poised for MamaMia role

Kylie Rogers, former commercial creative director at Ten who left the network in April, looks poised to join Mia Freedman at MamaMia in a senior role, AdNews has learnt.

The sales executive who oversaw the creation of Ten's premium multi-platform advertising play Generate, left the network in April after 17 years and having held a variety of roles.

In 2010 she was named national sales manager and in 2013 she returned from maternity leave to help spearhead Ten CEO Hamish McLennan's push to drive ad revenue, launching the premium-cross platform offer working with Ten's chief sales officer Lou Barrett

However, she resigned from the network in April saying she would spend more time with her young family while thinking about the next stage of her career.

MamaMia CEO Jason Levine refused to comment on the speculation but would not deny that MamaMia has been in discussions with Rogers.

Luring Rogers to the swiftly growing women's media portal is a major coup as the business continues to grow in influence.

In research published in AdNews today MamaMia's Facebook page was ranked 17th for consumer engagement across all Australian brands and the the site claims more than 2 million monthly visitors.

Roger's departure also highlighted continuing instability at Ten, which is struggling to maintain its advertising revenue share.

Yesterday the network released cost guidance to the market warning its estimated revenue would fall by about $25 million this year and that some analysts were overestimating its ad revenue share.

Yesterday it was also revealed that Ten's national client service manager, Kelly Healy, had left her role after just nine months to return to Brisbane and launch a new agency in partnership with former Clemenger duo Nancy Hartley and James Burchill.

Rogers had not responded to request for comment at the time of publication.
