The AdNews Emerging Leaders program will expand into a stand-alone event this year, celebrating champions across the media, marketing and advertising sector.

Entries open here today and close on May 31: enter or nominate someone in your team now.

This is a chance for you, your company or your team to stand out as top performers in the industry. The awards are open to professionals with a minimum five years in the sector who are not currently working in a C-Suite or managing director role.

Emerging Leaders has recognised a number of professionals in their rise to the top including Saatchi & Saatchi Australia CCO Mandie van der Merwe, PHD national head of strategy Mitchell Long, Nine director of advertising and data products Ben Campbell, LinkedIn ANZ head of enterprise solutions Clare Rudduck and Paramount ANZ group sales manager Jin Subasinghe.

The awards will be staged as a cocktail function on August 28 at the State Library in Victoria. The ceremony will see 20 Emerging Leaders announced from a shortlist of finalists, with a Grand Prix handed to one professional for their outstanding industry achievement.

AdNews publisher Assia Benmedjdoub said the evolution of the program is an exciting chapter forward.

“The team and I are incredibly excited to evolve our long-running editorial program into a fully-fledged event that recognises emerging leaders in our industry. It has never been a more important time to celebrate the talented professionals driving adland and their companies forward.”

The event is open to the media, marketing and advertising sector. GroupM, Foxtel, Ryvalmedia, Quantcast and Blis are proud sponsors of the launch event.
