Emma plays house with the Australian Bureau of Statistics

Readership metric emma (Enhanced Media Metrics Australia) will now include data based on the Australian Bureau of Statistics’ Household Expenditure Survey.

The inclusion of the data was specked in July however from today, a total of 143 product categories of household expenditure are now available to the emma data.

The Household Expenditure Survey reveals information on the expenditure, income, net worth and other characteristics of household residents in 9,774 private dwellings throughout Australia.

The data is available within groupings of heavy, medium and light consumer spenders.

The emma data was recently fused with RDA Research’s geoTribes Explorer database enabling the generation of audience profiles at local area level, including side-by-side comparison of locations, location ranking by spending potential and market coverage analysis.
