The Defence Signals Directorate (DSD), Australia's authority on cyber and information security, has appointed brand comms agency Ink Project to create a recruitment campaign.

The agency was appointed to the project work after a three-way pitch, and will devise a cinema and online campaign later in the year. The activity will target IT experts, with skills in cyber security.

Ink Project director of client services Clare Bailey told AdNews: "Not many people know about DSD - so our first goal is to get the name out there. This is predominantly a branding exercise. We are delighted to be able to help with positioning and brand awareness for a highly targeted campaign."

DSD is one of six bodies in Australia that makes up the Australian intelligence community.
