Seven will have the broadcast rights to The Blacklist in Australia.

With the madness of football finals out of the way for the weekend, normal service resumed last night with The Block: Glasshouse taking out the most-watched program, although the season premiere of The Blacklist helped Seven win overall.

The Block managed to pull in 1.33 million viewers for the night, while Channel Seven's X Factor live results show attracted 1.16 million sets of eyeballs.

But it was the sesason premiere of James Spader vehicle The Blacklist which tipped the balance, pulling in 1.05 million viewers to take out number six in the top 10.

Apart from news programs, the only other show in the top 10 was Home and Away, which came in at number nine for the evening with 968,000.

Overall Channel Seven had a slender win over Nine, pulling in a 30.4 point share against a 29.4 point share. Interestingly, both main channels for Seven and Nine dead-heated, each with a 22.5% share.

Meanwhile, the ABC outrated Network Ten with 19.3% of the audience against 16.2%, although Ten boasted this morning that it took out seven of the top 20 shows for the night in the under-55s market.

In other Network Ten news, its catch-up service Tenplay had its first birthday today.

Ten said the service had 158 million video views, 283 million page views, 23 million unique visitors and more than a million mobile app downloads for the year.
