Avid Collective has appointed former Scout Publishing and Junkee Media executive Niki Jones head of enablement and operations.

In the newly created role, Jones will be responsible for overseeing operational activities across various arms of the business with a focus on partner engagement.

She will be part of Avid Collective’s leadership team and report to commercial director, Ezechiel Ritchie.

Formerly the head of commercial, strategy and operations at Scout Publishing and Junkee Media, Jones successfully restructured the business, streamlined operations and processes in her role, and redefined the business’ commercial strategy, post-acquisition from oOH! Media.

Prior to this, Jones spent nearly two decades working at several renowned national media organisations, including SCA where she was group sales manager, the Seven Network, and ARN where she was an account director.

Beyond her media experience, Jones also serves as the director of Dragon Labour Hire, where she has been developing apps to boost efficiency in engaging the casual workforce.

Avid Collective managing director, Luke Spano, said Jones was a welcome addition to the team.

“We are thrilled to add someone of Niki’s calibre to the Avid leadership team. Niki brings more than two decades of expert insights, along with a deep understanding of industry dynamics to Avid," says Spano.

"She is passionate about innovation and using technology to drive growth - I am confident her enthusiasm, combined with her expertise, will make her an invaluable member of the Avid business."

Jones says she's excited to join Avid Collective, particularly as it is a company with innovation at the heart of its operations.

"My past experience reflects a dedication to leveraging technology to streamline operations and drive success, and Avid provides the perfect environment to continue these activities," she says.

"With a real passion for innovation, I constantly seek new technologies and industry trends to stay ahead of the curve and I can’t think of a better place to do that, than at Avid. I look forward to contributing to the company’s commitment to excellence and driving innovation in the dynamic media landscape.”

Her appointment is effective immediately, with further internal promotions set to be announced in the coming weeks.
