Digital industry association AIMIA has appointed the founder of digital media business iNC Digital Network, Rob Wong, as its new CEO.

Wong has been president of the Victorian chapter of the AIMIA since 2013 and has been a committee member for five years. In his new role Wong will lead the development of AIMIA at both national and state level.

Wong has more than 25 years experience in marketing, sales and advertising. He was most recently the founder and CEO of the iNC Digital Network, which was acquired by APN News Media in October 2013. Wong has also led digital agencies at Y&R in Sydney and Melbourne and founded intelligence businesses Think!, ICG and Catalogue Central.

“It’s a great time to be leading AIMIA,” Wong said.

“Membership is growing but there is more to do to develop membership value and we can do this by accessing the significant talent we have operating in state chapters.”

“AIMIA needs to lead in a digital industry that is constantly changing, which means relentlessly evolving and in some cases, disrupting ourselves. It’s a challenge, but one I am looking forward to,” he said.
