Angela Clark, the current head of innovation at the ABC is taking on a new position to lead the newly created Digital Network, announced as part of the Government cuts this week.

The creation of the centralised Digital Network replaces the previous innovation division headed up by Clarke since she joined the ABC in 2012.

Clark will take on the role of director of digital network.

It has been proposed that digital design and development resources from across the ABC will become part of the Digital Network.

Plans for the Digital Network are understood to include more staff than the current innovation team, and will include the R&D team, but nothing has been formalised.

The $20 million digital investment fund is not yet allocated and is likely to be allocated according to audience needs and could go towards products, infrastructure projects or content.

Angela Clark is featured in the next print issue of AdNews talking about innovation projects at the ABC– it's out on Friday 28 November. Subscribe in print or get it on iPad.
