Pepsi drops five second ads for emoji bottles

Pepsi knows being interrupted by ads is annoying, which is why they are keeping it short and sweet.

Pepsi is rolling out five seconds ads to promote its new emoji bottles. More than 100 ads that run just five seconds long will roll out in mid-May.

The emoji cans launched in Australia in February as part of the “Say it with Pepsi” global campaign.

PepsiCo Australia & New Zealand marketing director Jenni Dill says the idea came after research showed two billion global smartphone users are sending six emojis daily.

“‘Say it with Pepsi’ will come to life in the real world in the most unexpected ways, moving beyond the digital world into the physical world,” says Dill.
