Semi-clad couples and kissing men are the stars of the latest TV commercial for the iconic shoe wear brand.

Dunlop Volleys has just undergone a radical rebrand for its latest NSFW campaign.

The spot includes gay and lesbian couples and features the new model Volleys, launching for spring/summer.

Titled the “Grass Roots” campaign, the brand has taken a big leap to refresh its place in the footwear market.

Alongside the TVC and OOH activation, the campaign also includes a series of saucy images shot by Australian photographer Marisa Taschke.

Its aim is to celebrate “sexual expression”. As such, the campaign features a group of bright young things – including a gay couple – frolicking about in nothing but a pair of Volleys.

Volley global brand manager John Szwede told News.com.au the campaign speaks to the frustration of many young Australians who feel like their freedom is being eroded, instead of advanced.

“The campaign celebrates one of the most universal freedoms, freedom of who we love and how we love them. In doing so we are ‘rooting for change’ in a typically lighthearted Australian way,” Szwede said.
