A confronting new campaign from the Cancer Institute of NSW encourages people to listen to coughs to help early detection of lung cancer.

The initiative was designed to raise awareness about the early symptoms of lung cancer in an attempt to increase the chances of surviving the disease.

UrsaClemenger's executive creative director Denis Mamo said “The sound of coughing and the importance of listening out for family, friends and colleagues gave us a clear focus for the communication. The key was to keep it simple and graphic, so even in print we could communicate that paying attention to persistent or changing coughs is important in early diagnosis.”
