TV gambling tipsters are all the rage, right? Yep. So Eskander’s Betstar, via Whybin/TBWA Group Melbourne, has launched its own answer to Tom Waterhouse et al. The 15 second spots are the firm's first ever TV ads.

"People aren’t stupid and understand the relationship between bookies and punters, we hope people see the humour in our ads and appreciate Betstar as a brand that likes to have a bit of fun," said Betstar’s Managing Director, Alan Eskander.

The 11 part series features a true-blue, semi-professional news presenter who seems to know a lot about nothing but delivers short punchy humorous advice to Betstar viewers.
