The Australian Physiotherapy Association has kicked off a campaign that encourages people to not to let those niggling pains stop them from living life.

The four and a half minute online short film shows a bored family dog who wants someone to take him for a walk but each family member has a pain that stops them from getting active.

The spot pulls on the heart strings when you see the canine's puppy dog eyes and when the dog blocks the TV which infuriates the family they realise they need to do something and head to the local physiotherapy clinic.

Ruth Heenan, general manager of marketing & communications at APA said “We are finding lately that the general punter is trying alternative therapies because they are unaware of the breadth of ways a physiotherapist can help them to overcome their physical injuries. We wanted to get the message out there that physios can in fact assist people from all walks of life in a variety of ways – and we wanted to do that in a fun way”.
