Tourism WA will tomorrow target its 80,000 Facebook fans with a new campaign aiming to rally support for the adoption and tagging of whale sharks.

The initative is a collaboration with research and conversation organisation Ecocean, and if successful, the taggling will enable Tourism WA's Facebook community to the follow whale sharks' movements, including their return to Western Australian waters.

Fans can head to the brand's Facebook page and support the program by 'liking' its whale shark adoption campaign anytime over the next six weeks.
