Not-for-profit organisation Oscar's Law has launched a campaign to stop impulse purchases of puppies from pet shops.

Created by Sideways, the online film is part of a larger social media campaign aimed at shutting down puppy farms.

According to Oscar's Law: "Australian pet shops are filled with puppies in the lead up to Christmas. At least 95% of pet shops get their puppies from puppy farms. Each farm can house hundreds of dogs in squalid conditions suffering from serious psychological and physical injuries. Oscar’s Law seeks both tougher government regulations and criminal enforcement."
