The Australian Government has rolled out an anti people smuggling campaign aiming to educate ethnic communities on changed migration laws and discourage people from travelling by boat.

The campaign has been created by Y&R Group Sydney and Diverse Communications, and encourages citizens to tell their overseas relatives about the "right way" to come to Australia. It follows the Government's changed migration laws, which includes an increase in the number of refugee visas, which took effect in August last year.

The push has been produced in six languages and features famous cricketers Lasitha Malinga and Muttiah Muralitharan. It will run until the end of May 2013.
