People flock to the city centre during Christmas and New Year, for holiday shopping or NYE celebrations or general frolicking. So you've got to give people something festive to get excited about, like the City of Sydney's Christmas identity.

The 'star' motif is the focus of the design created by Holt for City of Sydney. Taking a new design approach, the star gets a faceted jewel-coloured facelift. It will be used throughout the local government area in its commercial and community activations.

Design manager at the City of Sydney, Steve Howlett, said: “The City of Sydney is committed to building a city that competes on the world stage. We’re known globally for our New Year’s Eve celebrations and our vision is to produce a Christmas experience that delivers the same commercial and community returns for businesses, visitors and the people who live and work in Sydney”.

The campaign has already rolled out across outdoor sites through the CBD and inner city and in print and digital platforms.
