Yaffa Publishing Group has added a stable of cycling titles to its fold.

The publishing company, which owns AdNews, has bought most of the assets of Lake Wangary Publishing Co, including the magazines Bicycling Australia, Mountain Biking Australia, Bicycling Trade as well as Bicycling Yearbook and upcoming eBike Australia, along with their related websites and social media assets.

The teams that work on the bike titles will continue in their roles and will remain based out of their current offices in Port Kembla.

Tracy Yaffa, managing director at Yaffa Publishing Group, said: “We are thrillled to be working with Phil Latz and his team on these well established market leading titles. The cycling market continues to grow with record participation rates. Yaffa will work on enhancing the reach and depth of Bicycling Australia, Mountain Biking Australia and Bicycling Yearbook; Australia's leading cycling media brands.”

Phil Latz, director at Bicycling Australia, said: “I would like to thank all of our staff for their dedication and professionalism over many years.

“Yaffa will bring a new level of professionalism to Bicycling Australia. I look forward to seeing this progression at close quarters, as I will be continuing in the roles of editor of Bicycling Trade and Bicycling Yearbook.”

Lake Wangary Publishing will continue to own and publish its Where to Ride, How to Ride and Where to Ride (USA) series of guidebooks, maps and apps, as well as continuing to run its Bicycling Australia Store and the Cycling Central Shop on behalf of SBS TV.
