Former Lavender planning director Dom Hickey is now head of planning at Wunderman.

Hickey started at the Y&R owned-unit last Monday. In the newly created role she will focus on fortifying Wunderman’s data and insights division, customer lifecycle management and digital strategy capabilities.

Hickey has a decade of experience on both the agency and client side across brands such as Westpac, IKEA, Medibank, Paypal and Austar. Prior to Lavender she had a stint at Publicis MoJo.

Reporting directly to Andrew Davie, managing director, Wunderman Australia and New Zealand, Hickey will be based in Sydney and oversee the strategic planning team in Sydney, Melbourne and New Zealand.

“She is a creative thinker, has a robust grasp of data methodologies plus an impressive track record in winning new business,” said Davie. “I look forward to her adding tremendous value to our existing clients and potential new partners.”

Hickey said she was looking forward to delivering “cutting edge consumer engagement programs across channels”.

The Wunderman group in Australia also includes Bienalto, a specialist in brand experience, analytics and optimisation.
