The results are in, and Telstra’s Olympics ad featuring a remake of the classic Men At Work ‘Down Under’ song is hands down the favourite campaign for people in the marcomms industry.

This week, AdNews put out an online vote asking its readers to decide upon their favourite Olympics ad. Telstra’s campaign was the top Aussie spot for 62.76% of voters.

Other campaigns included Olympics spots from Coles, Commonwealth Bank, Qantas, Swisse and McDonald’s. The least favourite ad was for Commonwealth Bank, while Swisse was a distant second with 23.72% of the vote.

The Telstra campaign was created in partnership with DDB Sydney, while Telstra’s media agency is OMD. The TV push is fronted by Men At Work frontman Colin Hay singing a re-imagined version of ‘80s song ‘Down Under’.
