National suicide prevention organisation R U OK? Day, founded by deceased advertising legend Gavin Larkin, is to host an inaugural Golf Day fundraising event on 20 September.

The Golf Day, to be held at Manly Golf Club, is designed to raise awareness and support for the organisation but also to celebrate the memory of founder Gavin Larkin who passed away a year ago.

The day will include an 18 hole ambrose event and brunch. Participants can enter as either individual or group competitors. There will also be a gala dinner held that evening which is included in the price of the golf day. Separate tickets to the gala dinner can be purchased as well.

R U OK? Day was founded by Larkin and Janina Neam in 2009 and will be held on 13 September this year. Since its establishment, the organisation has inspired one in five people to connect with someone in their life.
