NGen and Youngbloods come together for mobile solution

Everywhere you look and almost everything you read, it's all about mobile right? But has the ad industry worked out an integrated solution for brands? NGen and Youngbloods will come together to tackle it.

In their first alliance, NGen and Youngbloods, industry youth groups for media and creative respectively, will hold a mobile-focused workshop for their members. The event is designed to promote collaboration within a channel the industry is still under-utilising and no 'type' of agency has laid proper claims to yet.

There will be speakers from a media agency, a creative agency, publishers, handset manufacturers and clients. Topics will range from multiscreening in a mobile world, advertising beyond banners, case studies and a panel discussion.

It will be held on 25 July and is free for NGen and Youngbloods members. AdNews is the media partner.

NGen marketing head and MediaCom planning manager Amanda Margariti stressed the importance of thinking about mobile more holistically. She said: “Starting a conversation about including mobile on a communications plan is easy until someone suggests something other than a mobile banner buy.”

Youngblood committee member and Tongue business manager Gary Elphick said: “With savvy young communication professionals acknowledging the growing importance and significance of mobile there is so much territory still to be explored.”
