Independent ad agency KWP has partnered its in-house media department with Ikon Communications, to form Ikon Adelaide.

Ikon's new Adelaide office will be led by Natalie Morley as director of media. Morley was already a team member in the KWP media department.

KWP held a pitch last year, searching for a media agency partner. Previously, KWP has a back-end partnership with OMD, which handled its buying.

Following the partnership with Ikon, a more formal relationship has been established, which sees the KWP media department take on the Ikon brand.

Ikon national chief executive Dan Johns said: “Our relationship with KWP completes the national footprint for Ikon with offices now in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth; this gives us a very strong national organisational proposition for both clients and for our people.”
