JWT Melbourne has appointed Procter & Gamble interactive marketing manager Josie Brown as director of digital, replacing Dan King.

Brown will oversee JWT Melbourne's digital offer, working across the agency's existing clients and helping to grow digital relationships.

She joins after two-and-a-half years at Procter & Gamble's Australia and New Zealand operations. Previously, Brown was client services director at Sputnik and has also done stints at Factory212 and Ninemsn.

Brown replaces Dan King, who has left the agency after a three-year tenure.

JWT managing director, Michael Godwin said: “Josie comes to JWT with a unique blend of experience, as she was a senior agency executive prior to managing the digital marketing across the region for one of the country’s biggest advertisers.

“Recently I've been listening to advertisers express their frustration over agencies’ inability to help them build a digital road map for their business, being more focused on tactical execution and campaign extension. So I’m pleased to offer our clients the services of one of Australia's best digital marketing professionals.”

Brown said: “Having been exposed to many agencies across the region over the past few years, I’ve been really impressed by JWT’s ability to integrate digital within a single, holistic communications framework. I’m excited by the prospect of helping take this to the next level.”

Godwin told AdNews JWT Melbourne engages in digital work for all its clients except for Ford, who is aligned with Wunderman.
