Former Mitchell & Partners Brisbane managing director Teena Jameson is launching a new full service media agency called Media Circus in partnership with Aegis Media.

Media Circus has won its first client in the form of Carpet Choice, which was previously with Starcom Melbourne. The agency will be a joint venture with Aegis Media and operate from an office in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley.

Joining Jameson at Media Circus is former Mitchell group account director Katrina Droulers and Jon Cole. More staff and client announcements are expected shortly.

Jameson founded Mitchells Brisbane 11 years ago with Harold Mitchell and before than spent more than 15 years at AIS/Starcom. Recently she was inducted into the Brisbane Advertising Association Hall of Fame.

Jameson sold her majority interest in Mitchells Queensland in 2007 and left her MD role there in 2010. She remained with the company until this week.

“I’m looking forward to doing my own thing again while helping Aegis expand its business in Australia,” Jameson said.

“The emphasis at Media Circus will be on performance - in the quality of our work, the standard of service and in our relationships with our client, creative agency and media partners. We really can offer our clients the best of both worlds – highly personalised service, matched with the biggest and best media deals.”
