IHG names marketer for new Double Bay hotel

IHG has appointed a Giovanna Lever to lead commercial marketing and communications strategy for the InterContinental Sydney Double Bay.

Lever joins IHG from Tourism Australia and brings experience in delivering major business events and consumer tourism programs.

Frederic Brohez, general manager of InterContinental Sydney Double Bay, said: "With Giovanna leading commercial marketing and communications for InterContinental Sydney Double Bay, the property is set to redefine this area offering Sydney-siders and visitors with a fresh approach to luxury at this inner city retreat."

InterContinental Sydney Double Bay will be the fifth InterContinental hotel in Australia. IHG took over the former Ritz Carlton hotel in Double Bay in July last year and is revamping the site including a rooftop bar. It has been closed since 2009.

The revamped hotel is yet to open but is slated to open its doors in Q4.
