DDB's Brent Annells has jumped ship to join Facebook. He will head up the social network's telco, tech and entertainment team in Sydney.

Adam Donnelly replaces him at DDB. He joins the agency's Telstra team as managing partner.

Donnelly has spent 14 years working in marketing and communications with experience in digital, innovation and brand management. He joins from MRM in the US where he worked on the Verizon and GM accounts as executive vice president and strategy director for New York and Princeton. He was also part of the team responsible for establishing the agency’s 275 strong Detroit office.

Previously, Donnelly headed up McCann Group's MRM Sydney operations.

DDB Group Australia Chief Executive, Chris Brown, said, “Adam brings with him a breadth of both local and international experience having worked on some great brands both here and in the US. His infectious passion for his work will be the perfect fit to our dedicated and award winning Telstra team.”
