Gavin Ashcroft and Simon Ryan.

As Carat's newly appointed chief executive, Simon Ryan, settles in, the agency is implementing a new national structure, with Gavin Ashcroft appointed chief strategy officer. The company is hiring.

Ashcroft's is a newly created role, and the agency wants national heads of digital, investment and business development. Ashcroft was previously Melbourne general manager.

Existing leadership roles will remain unaffected, with Andrew Norris as managing director and Angus Frazer as general manager in Sydney, Alan Matthews as managing director and Tom Martin as GM in Perth and Robert Harvey as managing director in New Zealand.
