Belgiovane Williams Mackay (BWM) has appointed The Campaign Palace national head of digital strategy and brand planner Megan Hales to lead digital strategy.

Hales will take on the newly created position of national head of digital strategy, responsible for brand and digital strategy across Sydney and Melbourne. Hales will oversee greater integration of digital touch points on all BWM campaigns.

She joins after more than a year at The Campaign Palace. Previously, Hales worked for Saatchi & Saatchi, Fluoro, Hyro Limited, Abbot Mead Vickers BBDO, and HDM Total Communications Agency.

BWM group chief executive Paul Williams said: "The creation of this new position comes following continued growth across the board at BWM, especially in Melbourne.

"Digital is at the heart of everything we do, and we are really pleased that Megan has made the move to BWM to drive this across all client campaigns. We are looking forward to welcoming her on board next month."

Recently, BWM announced the formation of a Melbourne management board in the wake of Melbourne managing director Hugh Nairn's departure and appointment of Shaun Branagan as Melbourne creative director and national head of innovation.
