SYDNEY: Publicis Mojo has scooped the lucrative Virgin Mobile creative account, beating out 303 in a final shootout for the business, AdNews can reveal.

It is understood Virgin Mobile has notified both agencies of its decision with an official announcement expected imminently.

Publicis Mojo takes over from 10-year incumbent Host, which pulled out of the three-agency race in January, just before it won creative duties on the Vodafone Hutchinson account.

Virgin Mobile spent an estimated $14.2m on main media in the year to August, up from the $13.1m spent in the previous corresponding period, according to Nielsen.

Virgin Mobile’s media account is handled by MPG.
