SYDNEY: The Nine Network launched its media buying packages for the London 2012 Olympic games last night coinciding with the two-year countdown to the games opening ceremony.
Nine's director of sales and marketing Peter Wiltshire announced 18 packages in total for the event including four partnerships, six sponsorships and three podium packages available to advertisers.
Nine's director of network sports sales Ian Paterson told AdNews current International Olympic Committee (IOC) and Australian Olympic Committee (AOC) sponsors would be approached in the coming weeks.
“There is a 45 day window to talk to each of the partners before we can approach their competitors. Each of the packages come with a varied asset model and entitlements with enough to differentiate them from each other."
There are currently 20 AOC partners including, Coca-cola, Acer, McDonald's, Samsung, Adidas, Cadbury, Visa and Australia Post.
